The director of public prosecutions, Saleh Barhum applied for an adjournment.

The accused who was not represented by a lawyer did not object to the DPP’s application for the adjournment. He applied for the court to grant him bail to which the prosecution did not object.

The presiding magistrate then granted him bail in the sum of D300,000 with one Gambian surety.  The case was then adjourned to 2 December 2014.
