One Sheriff Saho was yesterday arraigned before Magistrate Mam Samba Jallow of the Kanifing Magistrates Court accused of issuing a false cheque.
According to Police prosecutor Sgt 2717 Jallow, the incident happened between April and May 2018 at Kololi in the Kanifing Municipality. He alleged that the accused without authority or reasonable excuse issued a D51, 480. 00 Access Bank Cheque to one Ali Hamoud knowing that there are no funds or adequate funds in his account to pay off the amount specified on the Cheque.
He however pleaded not guilty.
He was granted bail in the sum of D25, 000.00 with two Gambian sureties.
The matter was adjourned to 14 August for hearing.
