The man is accused of having carnal knowledge of the girl (name withheld).
However, the man is yet to react to the allegations because the charges were not read out to him in court yesterday.

The accused informed the court that his family is working to secure a lawyer for him.
Taking into consideration serious nature of the offences, Justice Emmanuel Amadi issued an order for the principal registrar at the high court to refer the case to the legal aid for the accused to be represented.
The trial will resume on 21 April for plea taking.
