Sheikh Tijan Hydara (not the former Justice minister), a staff of the Judiciary until his arrest, was yesterday brought before the High Court in Banjul, presided over by Justice Zainab Jawara Alame in connection with the alleged murder of Lady Vanessa, who was found dead in a Manjai Kunda street.
When the matter was called, state lawyer M Singateh informed the court that her office has received the case file but are yet to file an indictment as a result she wanted an adjournment.

The defence lawyer L S Camara did not object to the application but urged the state to file indictment as soon as possible.
The judge at that juncture granted the application but gave the state one week to file all necessary information and indictment. The case is adjourned to 24 January 2018.
