A statement from Real stated that the club is delighted to be associated with a player whose desire is to plough back to his community that nurtured him as a youth. Mansally now plays in the USA for Salt Lake MLS.
“Through his Foundation, Mansally helps children in The Gambia have access to food, medical care and education and opens up the possibilities to a brighter future like the one he has enjoyed in his eight seasons in Major League Soccer,” the statement said.
This evening’s charity game will see the City Boys square up with a selection led by Mansally himself and his friends in the national team which will include the likes of Tijan Jaiteh, Pa Modou Jagne, Ousman Jallow, Sainey and Sanna Nyassi.
The match will kick off at 4:30pm with ticket prices pegged at D10. All proceeds will be handed over to the Mansally Foundation.
