May Day mass sports is tomorrow

This second  edition of the event under the auspices of the National Sports Council,  have attracted over institutions.

According to the organisers Friday’s event is special because it is  also part of the The Gambia’s Golden Jubilee.

“The objectives of this year’s edition include encouraging healthy lifestyles for the citizenry who ordinarily would not take part in sports and physical exercise as a means of keeping fit; enhancing knowledge of ethics of sports; using sports as a unifying force in the society; enhancing passion for sports and sports related activities and thus creating an attraction; using sports as a platform for physical activity and to use sports to break barriers of  differences.

The sports activities will be preceded by an address by the Hon. Minister of Youth and Sports, among other personalities. 

Two new additions, the dress and eating competitions will be pioneered on Friday.
