The national youth conference and festival Nayconf will take off in Basse on December 15 official sources confirmed yesterday.

The event will last until 22 December and according to sources at both national youth and sports councils, preparations at both local and national level has gone far.

”Only three weeks ago, we made trip to Basse to check on the local organising Committee and the progress so far is impressive,” said Ebou Secka of the NSC.
He also disclosed that the Office of the Governor in Basse is working tirelessly with LOC on logistical arrangements.

Around Greater Banjul here too, the Nayconf flag and message has been round all relevant offices and is now heading to the regions,” Mr Secka said.
Nayconf is the biggest gathering of youths who engage each other in week- long discussion on pertinent youth matters as well as sports. This is the first edition since the change of government.
