In her quest to satisfy the needs of women in fitness, a young Gambian business woman Fatou Njie has on Friday opened an only women fitness, nutrition and care center for women to exercise and implement various health routines.

“The idea of creating this came as result of me coming home from Tajikistan. I used to attend an only women gym center where I had incredible discussions with other women about how to raise our children, better our families, and the country. Since The Gambia is similar to this country and we lack such in the country, I saw the need to create such environment for my fellow Gambian women. With support from my husband and friends I am able to achieve it,” she said.

Salieu Taal, president of the Gambia Bar Association and supporter of the center, admired the confidence of Fatou Njie for bringing such incredible initiative to celebrate women excellence.

He praised Fatou for bringing unique services to the country and encouraged Gambian men to sign up their wives to help boost and retain their health, nutrition and beauty.

Laila Traboulsi, a friend and partner to the proprietress, applauded Fatou for creating a completely safe place for women in hijab to wear their sports gears and be comfortable to workout, keep fit and discuss women stuff.
