WaheGuru Travel and Tourism, an entity which takes care of any tour and travel requirement of clients and agents at global level, has been recently commissioned in Banjul.
WaheGuru specialises on international and domestic air tickets, worldwide hotel bookings, international and local transfers, tailor-made packages, visa assistance and meet-and-greet service.
Speaking to journalists recently at the WaheGuru new branch in Brusubi, during the commissioning, the company’s Banjul branch manager, Deny Dhruv Bhatia said the company is operating in over 22 countries in Africa and sold all air tickets across the world.
“We sell tickets for Brussels airlines, Air Morocco and other airlines to destinations across the world. We also have all other travel services and we operate 24 hours round the clock,” he explained.
He continued: “We decided to establish our service in The Gambia because we like the country. We believe that the country is peaceful and that operating here, will give us good services and as well avail us the opportunity to widen our operations in the continent.”
He said the company which was established in 2010 in Cotonou, Benin is determined to give large part of its jobs to Gambians “because we want to also contribute in the country’s national development. We want to call on Gambians to take ownership of the company.”
“Apart from ticketing (both domestic and international), we excel into designing tailor made tour packages for domestic, inbound and outbound tourists,” he added.
