After days of rumour, mostly on social media of the alleged presence of fake plastic rice in the Gambia, the Food Safety and Quality Authority has said no such rice has entered the country.
In a statement released yesterday, the authority assured the public that all necessary measures will be taken to address the concerns as the rumor continues to spread in the country.
The authority said it will continue to ensure that food sold in the country is safe.
