Three Gambians, Baba Sarr of Taekwondo, Ebou Sanyang of Kungfu and Bubacarr Sillah of Karate have been given a fitting farewell at the National Sports Council, NSC, yesterday as they set out for overseas training. The trio are off to China as part of the massive short term training offer China extended to The Gambia.

Marcel Mendy, executive director of National Sports Council congratulated the trio and wished them good luck. He also advised them to be on their best behavior in China and be good ambassadors.
He said this is the first of its kind and they expect it would be a continuous thing, hence the need for the athletes to do well. The trio will leave on Friday and will complete their programme on 9 September.
