Observer deputy editor fired

Sources in the know intimated that Hatab Fadera was handed his termination letter yesterday which falls short of proffering any reason(s) .

Mr Fadera had been working with the paper for more than a decade and had served in different capacities including deputy editor-in-chief, a position he held until his sacking He also anchored the popular Bantaba column which featured interviews with political, business and opinion leaders. Daily Observer is the country’s largest newspaper company, established in May 1992.
