“We have an estimated budget of 21 million dalasi for the entire mini stadium but our priority area are the grassing of the football field, the perimeter fence, dressing room and an office space which will cost 2 million dalasi ,” he said.
Faye also said that they will embark on a fund raising campaign to augment the budget. The fund raising will take place this Saturday at the Bakau Bantaba, featuring Bakau’s top musicians like Amina Conteh, Nyancho, Jalex, Manding Morry, Tateh and a host of other musicians.
“There will also be a road show by the fans that will take them from compound to compound as well as a call to Bakau diaspora to assist the project,” he said.
He once again he thanked the Ministry of Youth and Sports, MoYS, for the initial 300, 000 dalasi donation.
“We are expecting to start work at the field on the 15th of March to ensure that the ground is ready for the coming zonals and nawettan,” Faye said.
Mr Faye said the lack of a standard park has resulted in the flight of good players from Bakau to other zones while the town’s league clubs have suffered relegation for lack of a good home ground.]]>
