The national beach volleyball final takes place on Sunday at the Palma Rima beach. Two giants, Olympafrica comprising the celebrated Modou Ngum and Sanusi Jawara will be squaring off against Ebrima Bah and Musa Barry of the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) in the men’s final. Olympfrica which has already won the national indoor championship are gunning for this outdoor title too while Barry and Bah are out for their first ever silverware with GAF.
The women final features GAF’s Abie Kujabie and Safie Sawaneh up against GPF’s Fatoumatta Ceesay and Sainabou Tambedou. GAF is chasing their third title having already won two, in the 2014 and 2017 editions. Police on the other hand are out to defend the only title they won in 2019.
