The newly unveiled National Coordinating Committee for the Gambia’s participation in the Afcon, has a target to raise D117M, according to sources close to the committee. The NCC headed by Sports Minister Bakary Badjie will also work with all relevant stakeholders to build national awareness about the importance of the event, taking place in Cameroon in January. This is the first time The Gambia qualifies for the Africa Nations Cup.
