By Modou Lamin Beyai Gambia international goalkeeper Sam Jammeh has left Finnish Ykkönen (second-tier) club FF Jaro to join Säffle FF on a free transfer. The 25-year-old penned a one-year contract with the Swedish Division 3 club, with an option to extend. “I am happy to get this deal done and complete my transfer. It’s a good move for me personally and a further step in my career,” the 1.86m tall keeper told The Standard from his new home in the Värmland County. He added: “I’m happy for the trust this club has in me by bringing me over from Finland and I promise to deliver for them with good performances.” Sam, who was in Sweden two seasons ago with Division 3 rivals IFK Sunne, leaves Finland after finding playing time hard to come by with Jaro. He attracted interest from other teams in England, Sweden and Asia but nothing concrete came out of those. The Scorpions net under started his career with Finnish side FC Viikingit before making career moves up the ladder.]]>
