Italian Serie A club Sampdoria are the latest to join the race to sign Gambia captain Omar Colley from Belgian side KRC Genk.
The Genoa-based made a €6m offer for Colley, failing to meet the €8m valuation of the player, according to Sky Sports Italia.
Sampdoria must fight off overtures from Lille, Fenerbahçe, Besiktas and Watford who have all had their opening bids rejected by the Belgian club.
The former KuPS giant defender joined KRC Genk from Swedish club Djurgården IF last summer for €1.7m.
His power in the air has also proved useful at the other end of the field, where last season, he scored four goals in 52 competitive games for Genk.
The 24-year-old has two-years left on his contract with the three-time Belgian Jupiler Pro League winners.
