Musa Sisé, a Senegalese national was yesterday charged with a single count of murder in Brikama court.
According to police prosecutor Inspector Kemo Y Manneh, Musa allegedly hit one Abdul Aziz Camara with a stick on his head causing his death.
The incident happened on 24 June 2020, at Sanyang village in Kombo South.
The accused is yet to take his plea.
However, Inspector Manneh applied for the matter to be transferred to the High Court in Banjul since the lower court lacks the jurisdiction to hear the matter in pursuant to section 62 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC).
Presiding Magistrate SB Joof granted the application and transferred the case to the High Court.
