Six GGC staff in court for stealing

Ousainou Nyang, Sulayman Njie, Sanna Manneh, Momodou Gassama, Sedia Sanyang and Falleh Tamba stand accused of conspiracy on December 2 to steal ten litres of groundnut oil, five nylon bag of groundnut and one bag of groundnut seeds being the properties of GGC, which is valued at D8, 439,83.

The accused persons denied any wrong doing and were granted bail by Magistrate Samsideen Conteh  in the sum of D10,000 each with one Gambian surety who must swear to an affidavit of means. Prosecutor Hawa Jobe appeared for the Inspector General of Police, while the accused were unrepresented.
