Abdoulie Sissoho, the lawyer of the Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation has made an application before the Janneh Commission seeking for the cancellation of receivership of Ocean Bay and Sun beach hotels currently under the receivership of Augustus Prom, a private consultancy firm.
Though the application was not made in open session yesterday, the lawyer confirmed he made it before the commission immediately after the session where he made his application.

The two five star hotels are properties of Social Security Housing and Finance Corporation which were leased to BP Investment in 2014 for a period of 15 years.
However the two parties have had strained relationship four months ago which forced the Corporation to file an injunction before the High Court in Banjul for the termination of the contract agreement.

The hotels are currently under the receivership of Augustus Prom who is appointed by the state immediately after a change of regime in 2016.
Scores of witnesses from the Corporation were summoned by the Janneh Commission with regard to the lease agreement but according to them, they were compelled by the office of the former regime to sign the agreement with BPI.
