Without any opposition from Ms Jawo’s lawyer, Edward Singhatey, the judge granted her application and adjourned the case to January 22.
Haja Jawo from Bahoum Kunda is on trial on a solitary charge of manslaughter. She is accused of causing the death of one Mamu Jawo in the same village by throwing a flip-flop shoe at her, which caused her to fall to the ground, causing her death. She denied the charge. Four witnesses have testified so far.
