Sukuta trek to final

Wild celebrations continued through the night in Sukuta yesterday after the town’s footballers reached the final of the Super Nawettan with a victory over Champions Gunjur. The Demabadou Boys were on the verge of exit after going down to Gunjur earlier in last night’s semifinal but with just five minutes left on the clock, they replied to level the scores and forced Gunjur to the already much dreaded penalty shoots out, In the end Sukuta prevailed 4-2 to set up an might final between them and the entire Nuimi, represented by BEM.
Sukuta last appearance in the final was in 2005 when they won the trophy, their first in history. ”There are great optimism that we can win this cup this year,” said an official of Sukuta. The final will be played on Sunday while the third and fourth place will be played on Saturday.
