Turkey injects D4M to National Assembly

Donated by the Turkish government throught its funding agency the Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency, TIKA, the materials, which include security cameras and screening machines, will be installed at the new National Assembly chambers in Banjul. 

In handing over the donated materials to the speaker of the National Assembly, Abdoulie Bojang, Ambassador Ergin Soner hailed the bilateral relations between Turkey and The Gambia.

The Gambia’s minister of Finance and Economic Affairs Kebba Touray, director of TIKA and members of the assembly attended the ceremony held at the chambers in Banjul.

Meanwhile, the Turkish embassy has announced that TIKA would be providing The Gambia with another technical assistance project in June, when 30 health personnel from Turkey will arrive to lend support to the country’s health system.
