Under-23 coach Omar Sise is currently in Canada as guest of the Rush Toronto football academy. Sise the founder of the Rush Gambia which produced the likes of Kekuta Manneh, will use the opportunity to attend participate, and learn from the training session of the club. “For me it is always good to use exposures to learn something. Am grateful to the Rush family for the invitation and I hope and desire to learn a few useful things especially team preparation which can benefit me in my job back home,” Sise told The Standard on facebook from Canada.
The Rush Football academy is an American foundation with branches in over 24 states in the USA in addition to branches in Africa and other places. Sise who worked for them as Africa director said Rush has an ever present invigorating youth training programme and are never short of qualified personnel to learn from and he intends to use his short stay in Canada to tap from their wealth of expertise in youth football management. Sise is in charge of Gambia’s Under-23, the highest youth category that will play the qualifiers for Japan 2020 Summer Olympic games.
