Ola Buaro made it 3-0 within the same half and tried as they, the host could not come up with a reply. The results means the Gambian girls are almost certainly through to the First Round even though they will first have to finish the job on Sierra Leone on October 28 in Banjul.

Reactions to the teams’ victory reechoed sentiments that where current Gambian men’s football is in total disgrace women’s football has always proven to be worthy of praise.

The winner of the tie will meet Ghana in the first round also of two legs from December 1 and 14.
The winner of that round goes to the final around of qualifiers in February 2018.
