United Guardian equips youth with skills in advocacy

The programme, held at Abuko Upper Basic School, also covered topics on leadership, peace, conflict resolution and public speaking.

Mr Abdou Singhateh, the secretary general of the youth group, said his organisation intends to prepare young people to overcome challenges of life and career. 

He added: “We also advocate and lobby for policies and programmes that adequately and effectively guide and protect youth and children from all forms of abuse, violence and unproductive life styles.”

Musa Baldeh, programme officer United Guardian, pledged that the group would continue to organise series of training for young people.
