Renowned local NGO, Vision Development Foundation of Momodou Turo Darboe, on Wednesday presented 300 bags of 10 kilos of rice, 100 crates of drinks together with a cheque for D50,000 to The Gambia Christian Council. The NGO also donated another cheque for D25,000.00 to the Ekung Baba Hunting society.
Saikou Fofana, director of public relations and operation at VDF, said the donation is part of the activities that the foundation under the leadership of Momodou Turo Darboe extends to Christians during their religious festivals such as Christmas.
“Vision Development Foundation has inspired many other groups to extend help to Gambians or complement the efforts of each other and of the government in national development”, he added.
Mr. Fofana continued to explain that the benevolent gesture of Mr. Darboe and VDF has been impacting lives as some of them are in the form of gardens, roads, hospitals, scholarships among others things.
