Mohammed Walid Bourgie died in a fatal car crash on May 17, 2014.
A statement made available to The Standard by the chairman of the foundation, Mr Momodou Turo Darboe described Mr Bourgie as a wonderful person who always looked forward to assist people.
It reads: “In memory of a very benevolent partner in the cause of the vulnerable and needy in the person of Mr Hamoudi Bourgie, a partner who has generously and significantly contributed to the welfare programme of Vision Development Foundation; A man who has always wanted to stay unanimous in the crusade to contribute to VDF’s efforts to alleviate and improve the lives of the abject poor through his numerous donations in kind.”
It said that the deceased brought joy and happiness to many lives.
It adds: “We wish to assure his family and loved ones that we are still mourning this unrecoverable loss and that his beloved memory will always remain in our hearts and minds. We pray and will forever continue to pray for his soul to rest in perfect and eternal peace.”
