VDF presents 40 bulls, food worth D1M

The chief executive officer, Vision Development Foundation, Momodou Turo Darboe yesterday presided over the distribution of 40 bulls, hundreds of bags of rice and sugar worth over one million Dalasis to Muslims on the occasion of ‘Laylat al-Qadr’, the Night of Power which is being marked today Wednesday.
The bulls and other items were given to communities in the Greater Banjul Area, and the West Coast Region as well as different security agencies.

Speaking ahead of the official handing-over, the public relations officer of VDF Saikou Fofana, called on local government leaders and chiefs to ensure that the donated materials reach the target beneficiaries.
He disclosed that this is the first time the gesture is being extended to large parts in the rural areas such as the Fonis and other parts of West Coast Region.

The Governor of the West Coast Region Ebrima Mballow thanked VDF saying the gesture was not just a surprise but a huge humanitarian intervention.
The occasion was witnessed by NAMs from the areas benefiting from the donation.
