The race for the Banjul mayorship has moved to another gear with yet another aspirant emerging. Adama Kelepha Samba, also called Halla, has announced he will contest for Mayor this April.
Mr Samba who spoke to The Standard yesterday said he will be unveiling his candidacy at a rally on Sunday at the Tennis Lawn.
Asked which ticket he is running on, Samba said he is so far not selected by any party but all those details will follow when they are done.
Mr Samba is the son of the late IBA Kelefa Samba, a former minister and mayor of Banjul. Halla, a businessman, is also well known as successful football administrator and coach.
