Under the deal, Africell panel of football pundits, commentators, reviewers, coaches and journalists would take turns to analyse the trend, facts, figures and thrills of each and every match in the World Cup that begins on June 12 and ends on July 13. The show will be hosted by Musa Sise, media consultant at Africell.
He told The Standard yesterday: “The Gambian people love sports, so does Africell. It is not just enough to watch a match but it helps a lot to go into that match with facts and knowledge of the team and players, and that’s what Africell is providing for Gambian viewers of GRTS.”
Ebrima Barry, head of administration at Africell commended President Jammeh for helping to secure the rights to broadcast the matches and described him as “a big supporter of sports”.
