Ambassador at Large Yuhao, Dr. Zhang, and others donate D165, 000 worth of food to Brufut Nema Qur’anic Memorization School

The Gambia’s Ambassador at large in South East Asia Tan Sri Dr Aixinjueluo Yuhao and his partners Dr. Zhang Anshun, the vice Dean of Lincoln College in Malaysia Dr. Yap Wee Howe, the COO of Xinliwang Company and Qiqi Mong from NMTT Company on Saturday presented food items to Salim Moula Abi Huthifa Boarding Centre for Qur’anic and Islamic Studies in Brufut Nema.

The items worth D165, 000 comprises bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, bags of potatoes, onions and scores of other types of food and beverages as well as sweets.
The items were presented to the school at an exciting and solemn ceremony at the School compound, attended by staff and nearly 200 resident and non-resident students among them orphans.

Delivering a short speech at the ceremony, Ambassador at Large Yuhao extended thanks to his partners and companion on the mission and informed the beneficiary school that he and his entourage were very pleased to have provided the items which is fulfillment of their everyday mandate to promote investment, social and corporate development for the Gambia in the South East Asia. He congratulated the school for the occasion and their warm and appreciating welcome.

Dr. Zhang Anshun too expressed excitement about the presentation and hopes that the items will go well in helping the everyday needs of the school and orphanage.
Receiving the items, the coordinator of the institution Abdou Bah thanked Ambassador -at-Large Yuhao and his partners for the wonderful gesture. He disclosed that the school was established in 2016 and currently has a total of 248 students, 95 resident and 153non-resident students among them orphans. Mr Bah further disclosed that a total of about a dozen staff teach at the school. He said the donated items will go a long way to help the institution in meeting its daily challenges such as feeding the students as well as mobilising resources to pay the staff. He thanked the donors and encouraged them to continue remembering the school in their future programmes.

Abubacarr Suwareh, the founder and director of the school conveyed gratitude on behalf of his staff and family of students to the Ambassador at- Large Yuhao and team. The ceremony was marked with welcome recitation and prayer by the students who prayed for God’s blessing for the donors and their collaborators.
