Major Lamin K Sanyang is now the new Public Relations Officer of the Gambia Armed Forces replacing Lt. Col Omar Bojang who is leaving for studies in Nigeria, The Standard learned yesterday.
Outgoing PRO Bojang described his successor as “a man of integrity” who is always cooperative and ready to help whenever the need arises.
He appealed to his colleagues and the general public particularly the media to always give him support and make clarification from him before publication in order to avoid problems.
Major Lamin K Sanyang joined the Gambia Armed Forces in June 2002 as part of the nucleus of the Gambia Air Force and rose through the ranks, among the positions is that of Public Relations Officer for The Gambia Armed Forces from 2012 to 2013.
When contacted, Major Sanyang confirmed his appointment while promising to work closely with the public particularly the media for the development of the country.
