The tournament featured male and female categories of teams and was sponsored by MSTE Printing Company. In the male category, Saint Joseph’s Lower Basic School proved too strong for their opponents and marched to the podium to lift the trophy in scintillating fashion.
But the girl’s category was won by Muhammedan Lower Basic School. According to our reporter covering the tourney, the children showed great skills and delighted parents and teachers alike.
The winners of both categories received trophies, 10 school bags and sets of jerseys while the runners-up were given sets of jersey in each category. Prior to this tourney, the regional football association also organised a similar championship among secondary schools in the city.
