The Biddy’s beauty pageant promotion foundation under the leadership of Ida Bidwell Mansaray recently presented food items and other items to disable families in Ebo Town.
The donated items included bags of rice, cooking oil, soaps and host of other ingredients.
The CEO and founder Biddy’s Promotion Founder of face of Beauty Gambia, Ida Bidwell said the gesture is meant to support the underprivileged.
She said the day is a great day for her and the Biddy’s beauty pageant promotion foundation.
“This is not the first time I am doing it. Maybe this is the first time it is going public but I always feel like you don’t need to have all before you can give out to the needy,” she said.
Mariam Thiam, the winner of the 1st edition of crown queen said she is overwhelmed to have played a part in putting a smile on the faces of the poor and the disable.
Thiam also represented The Gambia in Albania (Europe) at the miss globe and she was crowned Miss Elegance.
Meanwhile, Amie Jume, the 1st runner-up of the crown queen 1st edition said she and her colleagues are proud of sharing what they have with needy and the less privilege.
Lawratou Camara, 2nd runner-up expressed her joy and satisfaction over the donation.
Isatou Jallow, one of the beneficiaries expressed her satisfaction and delight to the donors, saying there is nothing worthier than putting smiles on the faces of the poor and the needy.
