CAN GAMBIA BREAK SENEGAL TONIGHT? …as Wafu tourney gets groovy

After picking a point from their opener against Guinea, The Gambia Under-20 team must today beat Senegal to put their campaign on a solid path. Senegal were beaten 3-1 by Mali in the group’s first day of action Wednesday and as wounded Lions, the neighbors will seek to make amends tonight with victory over Gambia.

Speaking in Monrovia after Wednesday’s one-all draw against Guinea, Coach Mattar Mboge said the draw was a very positive start. We are very happy and proud of our performance. We are focus now on our next game and the boys are happy, singing, clapping and dancing at the hotel and there are no worries,” Mattar replied.
