Community Action Support Association – Casa- Gambia, a locally registered charity yesterday presented 100 benches with chairs attached to Brufut Lower Basic School.
In this latest project Casa- Gambia collaborated with Brufut Diaspora Association BTA and the Village Devilment Committee, VDC.
Ebrima Jatta, chairman of Casa-Gambia, revealed that the charity is registered in The Gambia and Holland and have conducted fund raising activities in both countries which generated some funding that enabled them to refurbish the Brufut School staff room and library.
The charity is also working on a grand scheme to build a classroom block to ease congestion in the school.
Mr Jatta commended the collaborators on this furniture project, the BTA and VDC for their trust and confidence in Casa- Gambia.
Demba K Bojang, the VDC chairman congratulated Casa- Gambia and all its collaborators for the implementation of the furniture project the money for which he recalled was raised through a fund raising organized by the VDC and BTA.
The head master of the school Kebba Jammeh thanked the Casa- Gambia and its collaborators for the important intervention and glorious future plans for the school.
He advised the students to take good care of the facilities.
The Chairman of the occasion Karamo Alasana Camara urged the community of Brufut to join and lend a hand to the fund raising activities of Casa Gambia to enable them to implement future projects for the community.
