ASP Lamin Njie has been appointed the new Public Relations Officer of the Gambia Police Force following the departure of Superintendent David Kujabi to the United Kingdom to pursue a master’s degree in peace and conflict studies.
ASP Lamin Njie had previously served in this position until October 2016 when he travelled to Turkey to pursue a master’s degree in Security Strategies Management and superior police training.
Mr Njie was enlisted in the Gambia Police Force in 2010 as a cadet inspector and served in various units of the police including the Charge Office, Serious Crime Unit and Public Relations Office.
Reacting to his appointment, Njie expressed his gratitude to the IGP Mamour Jobe and the management of the GPF for “the trust and confidence” bestowed on him.
He assured them that he will do his utmost in developing a cordial relationship between the police and the public.
