Corporal Ebrima Sonko of The Gambia Armed Forces, who died in Darfur Sudan on UN peacekeeping, will be laid to rest at Farato this morning.
According to military sources, Sonko’s corpse arrived yesterday morning and was taken to the mortuary in Banjul.
“This morning at ten there will be a farewell parade for him before internment at Farato,” GAF spokesman Lt. Col. Omar Bojang said.
