FedEx cares, in collaboration with the Immigrants Association of Malgrat de Mar and The Gambia Catalunya Foundation, recently donated toys and football jerseys to young people and children of Farato California.
Immigrants Association of Malgrat de Mar is a non-profit organisation that has among its aims the improvement of the living conditions of immigrants.
Yaya Danso, the chairman of the Association of Malgrat de Mar, urged beneficiaries to make good use of the materials.
He said the items are essential because “toys engage a child’s senses, spark their imaginations and encourage them to interact with others.”
The Alkalo of Farato California, Pa Tamba, thanked the organisations for the donation.
He said the items will help motivate young people in sports.
Meanwhile, FedEx said it is investing $200 million in over 200 global communities by 2020 in order to create opportunities and deliver solutions for people around the world.
