FedEx Cares in collaboration with Immigrants Association of Malgrat de Mar – a non-profit organisation that has among its aims the improvement of the living conditions of immigrants – and The Gambia Catalunya Foundation reached out recently to donate to the people of Wuli.
They also gave items including jerseys, toys and trophies to Sandu district and Tallinding.
The chairman of immigrant malgrat and The Gambia Catalunya Foundation, Yaya Danso, said the items were donated to “benefit the children and youths of the four villages.”
He urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the materials.
The vice chairman of the donating association, Aja Amie Sonko, spoke of how “important” it is for the children to have toys to play with at home.
“The items will help develop their creativity and imagination, dexterity, cognitive and emotional strength.”
One Yuspuha Sambu, thanked the association for the gesture.
