FJC appointed to the board of African Women Foundation

According to the letter, the decision was taken after WINB “met putting into consideration [her] unmatched leadership qualities…]   The well-known female journalist-turned politician, is a former speaker of the Gambian legislature and the national president of WINB, The Gambia chapter.

WINB’S mission is to create avenues for identifying, raising and supporting women leaders for inclusion in nation building across the nations of Africa, WINB  is a pan-African women’s foundation seeking to provide a balance scorecard on political leaders, corporate executives and all other leaders involved in nation building. The foundation has a presence in five African countries, Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, The Gambia and South Africa and is headed by its international president, Bukky Bello Jaiyesimi,  described as “a pan-Africanist and a multi-international award recipient with passion for encouraging, evaluating, advancing and projecting women’s role in respect to nation-building”.
