Fatoumatta Jahumpa Ceesay in a recent letter addressed to President Yahya Jammeh wrote: “Please permit me to join the long list of heads of state, eminent international personalities, local eminent personalities, patriotic Gambians and APRC militants in condemning the barbaric and bestial attack on State House on 30th December 2014. These unpatriotic so called Gambians who have no stake in the country and who have already acquired foreign nationalities weave their evil nets abroad and thought they could easily return to our dear country and cast their evil nets but instead they found themselves caught in their own evil nets. The Holy Qu’ran says, ‘When the evil man plans, God also plans and God is the best planner.’
“The whole world bears witness to the mass support shown by people of all walks of life, all over the country. People flooded the streets to show their support for Your Excellency and to condemn the barbaric attack by these barbaric terrorists. I wish to extend my felicitations to the loyal soldiers of the Gambia Armed Forces through Your Excellency, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, for their brilliant resistance during this cowardly attack. Sir, please allow me to renew my unflinching and unstoppable loyalty to Your Excellency. May Allah Subhana Wa Talla continue to guide and protect Your Excellency.”
