Forever Friendship Organisation through its Sponsorship Committee Friday donated school materials to students of Lamin Daranka Lower Basic, Scan Aid Senior and Bakau Upper Basic schools.
They donated school uniforms, books, pen and pencils, bags and two pairs of shoes each to these schools.
The project coordinator Lamin Sallah said he and his friends came together to establish Forever Friendship Organisation.
He said: “We decided to do something to help develop our country through a youth organisation we registered”.
He said they are a non-profit making body that help in areas of health and education.
“We have a vision of what to give back the Gambian people because there are a lot of Gambian children who cannot for certain reasons complete school”.
The Vice Principal of Bakau Upper Basic School, thanked the organisation for the support.
“There are children who need the support and without this intervention, some might even get married or dropout of school.”
Jamesa and Tintinto Upper Basic, and Sukuta Wannsee Lower Basic schools also benefitted from the donation.
