The head coach of Gambia national beach volleyball team Sgt Lamin Bargie has released names of his team ahead of Zone II beach volleyball tourney now slated from today 13 to 17 September in Banjul.
They include Gambian international Amadou Jarju who got his first call to the squad
Jarju who was plying his trade in Qatar will be paired with Jahara Koita from the U18 team.
In the female side, Fatoumatta Sillah will earn her first cap as a senior player for the Gambia when she shares the court with experienced Sainabou Tambedou.
Sillah fondly called “Germano” made the cut following Abie Kujabie’s injury. Tambedou is back to the national side for the first time since 2016 when she last played for Gambia in Abuja.
Seven countries will take part in the championship and is funded by Zanoca.
