Gambia Host Zone Ii Beach Volleyball Olympic Qualifiers Tomorrow

Four countries Mali, Sierra Leone, Guinea and host The Gambia will compete for the top three available spot in Zone 11 beach volleyball that can get them to the next round of the qualifications to determine which single African country qualifies to the Tokyo Olympics.
In 2016, both the Gambian women and men teams came near as they finished 8th in Africa which has only one ticket to the Olympics.

Ahead of the qualifiers,Gambia have invited Qatar-based Sainey Jawo and Mbye Babou Jarra to join home based stars Amadou Jarju and Jahara Koitato push the country’s campaign in this rigorous and tight fight .

The president of Gambia Volleyball Federation Bai Dodou Jallow has extolled the Gambia national beach volleyball team to go for glory in this first round of qualification starting in Banjul this week from November 21 to November 26.

The competition, also called ”Continental Cup’ ‘is the culmination of a series of competitions held in each continent that provided an opportunity to all federations to compete at the highest level in an open system that books a ticket to the Olympic Games.
