UCMAS comes to develop child brain

The Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic System, (UCMAS) has arrived in The Gambia to assist Gambian children actualise their dreams and discover their potential.
On Wednesday, students and teachers from various schools in the Greater Banjul Area converged at the Ebunjan Theatre to witness the launching of UCMAS.

In his welcoming remarks, Girish Gurbani, the organisation director for Africa, said: “If you train the brain, it will serve the purpose it is meant for. It will work like any other brain all over the world and that is what UCMAS want to offer to the children of The Gambia. The brain needs to be trained in order to serve the purpose it is meant for.”

He said the organisation aims to offer the same trainings it is offering in other countries to Gambian children, “in order to develop their brains in an effective manner.”
The head of the organisation in The Gambia, Emmanuel Ahiafor, said they are committed to actively raise the quality of life for every Gambian child and the launching of the organisation will help children achieve their full potential.

“Our task is to make it possible and our mission is to offer the UCMAS programme to every child in The Gambia for the development and expansion of their brain capabilities.”
Founded by a Malaysian doctor in 1993, the UCMAS is an ISO 9001-2008 certified company based in Malaysia and is present in more than 58 countries worldwide.

It has trained more than one million children in the programme. UCMAS is a highly recognised brain development programme and is appreciated by educationalists, researchers and scientists.
Officials said parents worldwide have noticed “astonishing” results after children have been taken through the UCMAS mental arithmetic programme.
