Gambia seeks to make presence felt at Milan business summit

The international convergence is part of ongoing efforts to expand the global entrepreneurship ecosystem which has started to take shape around the world, connecting people across borders to unleash their pontential. It also seeks to transform innovation into reality and in turn growing economies and expanding human welfare. The Kauffman Foundation has been supportive of the initiative after it brought together the host organisations from nearly 60 nations to create the first ever Global Entrepreneurship Congress in March 2009 at its headquarters in Kansas City. Since then, the summit holds every year and The Gambia has participated in past events. 

This year’s event expects to receive around 200 people worldwide and will feature prominent speakers drawn from various parts of the world. At the event, the importance of entrepreneurship as an alternative driver of growth for any nation including The Gambia will take centre stage as participants proffer different business ideas to make it happen. Partners include the Global Entrepreneurship Network and Meta Group SRL.
