Soon after seeing Benin off 2-1 in the first leg, the Gambian football authorities are already in Cotonou to prepare grounds for Sunday’s return leg in the African Youth Championship preliminary qualifying tie against Benin.
Football House announced yesterday that General Lang Tombong Tamba, the head of the delegation in this particular assignment has arrived in Cotonou as advance party.
General Tamba will look at facilities on the ground and beef up arrangements that include hotel accommodation, training ground, local transport facilities and other essential logistics ahead of the team’s arrival.
The Young Scorpions will themselves leave town Thursday via Dakar arriving in Cotonou Friday.
