The acting director of health services at the Ministry of Health, Dr Mustapha Bittaye, has reiterated that the country still has only one active Covid-19 case.
In a statement delivered at a press briefing yesterday on the 19th situation report since the confirmation of the first Covid-19 case, Dr Bittaye explained: “Currently we have 39 people under quarantine in one of the hotels in the Greater Banjul Area. A total of 195 tests were conducted, 4 positives, 185 were negative and one inconclusive case even though it was done twice.”

He said Gambia records no new laboratory confirmed Covid-19 case.
“22 laboratory cases were received from MRCG, 20 of which turned out negative and the 2 remaining results were those of the active and probable cases,” Bittaye told journalists.
